MMX is an ambitious mission that builds upon the technology from Hayabusa and Hayabusa2
for landing on Phobos,a moon of Mars,to collect samples and return them to the Earth.
The composition of Phobos is similar to that of an asteroid,and its origin is shrouded in mystery.
